This Painting is about a friend, and her struggle to conceive a child. The body, machine and God became interchangable. It is about the longing for something so bad that one would succumb to science, machinery, and eventually God for an answered prayer. It's also about injustice--sorting out how something like this happens. It impacted me more than I ever could have expected, praying for an answer everyday. It took me almost a year to complete this work and was only able to complete it after the subject conceived a child.
